Complete your Legionary Guard arsenal with the Legion Guard shield and the Silver Longsword as used by all members of Emperor Septim's Guard.
All of the support dowels/rods for this build are designed at 1/8", pegs for the shield and a single rod for the length of the blade.
With a leather strap affixed to the backside of the shield, it would be both comfortable and rather simple to wield for longer periods of time while still being accurate to the design.
